Monarch Giving Day is our school community’s 1981 minute fundraising effort to support our Annual Fund. This incentive-driven 33-hour fundraising event will begin on Tuesday, 11/15/2022 at 12:01 a.m. PST.

The Monarch Annual Fund is St. Edward’s top giving priority because it directly supports the school’s greatest assets—our teachers and our students.

Proceeds will be used in four critical areas:

  • Faculty & Staff Opportunities
  • Student Enrichment
  • Campus Enhancement
  • Tuition Assistance

Be it faculty appreciation programs, curriculum enhancements, new tools for the classroom, and upkeep of our beautiful campus – in one day, your support for the Monarch Annual Fund has a tremendous impact for our teachers and students.

What is Monarch Giving Day?

This incentive-driven 33-hour fundraising event will begin on Tuesday, 11/15/22 at 12:01 a.m. PST. Unlike the old school days when we had to sell wrapping paper, cookie dough, and magazine subscriptions, we have streamlined fundraising for St. Edward. Each donation on MGD goes directly to our Annual Fund, instead of a small percentage of proceeds from selling door to door items.

Why 33 hours and 59 seconds?

Monarch Giving Day will begin at 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday, 11/15/22 and conclude at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, 11/16/22.

What does Monarch Giving Day Support?

The total fundraising goal of our 22-23 Annual Fund is $100,000. Our goal is to secure $50,000 on Monarch Giving Day.

The Monarch Annual Fund is St. Edward’s top giving priority because it directly supports the school’s greatest assets—our teachers and our students.

Proceeds will be used in four critical areas:

  • Faculty & Staff Opportunities
  • Student Enrichment
  • Campus Enhancement
  • Tuition Assistance
Why doesn’t our tuition support these things?

Our tuition covers our school’s basic operating costs such as salaries, health benefits, and maintaining our facilities and grounds. Each year, the school does budget for some professional development, STREAM & literacy programs and Monarch Tuition Assistance. However, the Monarch Annual Fund gives a necessary boost to these areas.

Tuition keeps us going. The Monarch Annual Fund keeps us GROWING.

Has Monarch Giving Day been done before?

This year’s Monarch Giving Day is our fifth annual drive. The previous three events exceeded our expectations both in school family participation and money raised. We hope for the same level of support on Tuesday, 11/15/2022.

What is the goal of the Monarch Giving Day?

100% Monarch Participation! A broad base of support, from our entire St. Edward community, is the key to our success. Each gift, no matter the amount, makes an impact on our school.

In one day, we can have a tremendous impact.

Why give on Tuesday, November 15th?

Your gift will go further and have a bigger impact, thanks to generous Monarch supporters who have funded more than $7,000 in multiple challenges! Your donation or pledge to our school on Tuesday, 11/15 will have a double impact.

What are the Day of Giving challenges?

There will be several giving challenges—one with a dollar goal and one with a participation goal. The challenge funds will be announced and “unlocked” at different points during Monarch Giving Day.

Where does my gift go, and where do the challenge funds go?

100% of all donations received through Monarch Giving Day go directly to the Monarch Annual Fund. Your donation will support Faculty & Staff OpportunitiesStudent EnrichmentCampus Enhancement, and Tuition Assistance. Our annual fund runs from July 1 through June 30. We run this one-day event to maximize our annual fund efforts.
